Kempinski Hotel Amman is in the final stages of completing its new Convention Centre; the much-anticipated opening will be in early 2019 and is the culmination of a 3 year multi-million-dollar project to bring the finest conference, exhibition and banquet center to the heart of Amman, Jordan’s capital city.
The unique architecture, designed by the internationally acclaimed, award-winning HBA Hirsch-Bedner and Associates, is spectacular. The Grand Ballroom; Onyx Hall, a multi-purpose Exhibition Hall, Luna Sky Terrace, an outdoor roof terrace and 3 circular panoramic VIP meeting rooms make up the venues of this Convention Center. State-of-the-art audio-visual equipment will give these venues a whole new level of technology available for the first time in Amman.
The exquisite Grand Ballroom is adorned with 14 Swarovski crystal chandeliers, each consisting of over 3000 strands of crystals, nestled from a 6.5 meter high ceiling. The Onyx Hall, a multi-purpose 760 sm space with full natural daylight is separated by a 3.5 meter void from the Ballroom to ensure complete sound isolation from the floor below it. Perfect for exhibitions and product launches, this versatile space can be used for weddings and corporate events as well. Above the Onyx Hall rests Luna Sky Terrace, an open-air 650 sm space ideal for outdoor receptions and social events.
The combination of the new meeting space, coupled with the existing 14 function rooms, including the 450 sm Al Reem Ballroom, will define Kempinski Amman as the premier convention and event venue in Amman. “This stunning new project will position Kempinski Hotel Amman as the premier meeting, exhibition and wedding venue in the capital”, said General Manager Mark Timbrell. “We already have a good number of confirmed events for next year, and enquiries are coming in daily. It is an exciting time for the team as we emerge from the three-year construction period with this fantastic new addition to the hotel. For many delegates it will be the end of long drives to the Dead Sea, and for many wedding couples and their guests, an opportunity to experience another level of luxury in Amman.”
