A Phenomenal Indian Destination Wedding in Switzerland
Indian celebrity stylist and luxury consultant, Sonam Babani, also known as Fashioneiress is the queen of luxury fashion, Sonam married her entrepreneur boyfriend Neil Sanghvi in the most epic destination wedding.
Neil proposed to Sonam in 2019 with an incredible romantic marriage proposal in the Maldives. The couple got married 2 years after they postponed their wedding due to the pandemic, so they wanted a truly magical wedding to celebrate their love in the most perfect way .
Their nuptials took place in the most magical place, the luxurious ski resort town of Zermatt with the snow-capped Matterhorn as a beautiful backdrop. The lavish Chalet Zermatt Peak was the host venue which is one of the most beautiful and best chalets in the world, the intimate wedding took place at the 19th-century hotel Riffelalp, planned by Tehiya Narvel Events.
Welcome Lunch
A magnificent wedding like this needs to kick start the right way, this is why Sonam and Neil chose to have a great welcome lunch for their wedding guests in Zurich at The Dolder Grand hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant.
The bride, groom, and their guests then spent some relaxing time at the chalet in Zermatt. The wedding guests enjoyed skiing and relaxing with massages to get ready for the big day.
Haldi Ceremony
The luxurious Haldi celebrations started with a ceremony for which Sonam Babani wore a velvet floral Sabyasachi gown and paired it with Aprajita Toor Kolhapuri heels to match her fiance's floral print kurta set, also by Sabyasachi. Sonam accessorized the look with silver and colorful Indian jewelry by Amrapali Jewels.
The venue for the Haldi ceremony had beautiful turmeric yellow details with one-of-a-kind flower arrangements.

Rehearsal Dinner
For the elegant rehearsal dinner, the bride wore a couture lehenga by Atelier Versace, this lehenga is the first of its kind designed by Atelier Versace. This outstanding piece was ordered 2 years ago for the couple's beach sangeet in Bodrum.
Neil, the groom, wore a fabulous suit by Govinda Mehta’s Raisson D’être.
The rehearsal dinner at the chalet was a sophisticated and formal affair with lush floral arrangements and romantic candles.

The Wedding Day
The surreal wedding was held outdoors in the Gornergrat area which was surrounded by ski slopes, it was such a majestic view for the wedding.
For the big day, Sonam and Neil chose their attires from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
The couple wanted their outfits to complement the snow and mountain views surrounding their wedding venue. Sonam added a unique and personal touch to her bridal look by wearing Kerry Parker gloves which were embroidered with the couple’s names, vows, and wedding dates on the inside.
Sonam's exquisite bridal jewelry was from L. Sunderdas Zaveri, the bride chose oval and round-shaped necklaces, a pear-shaped maang tikka, solitaire studs and bangles, and her engagement ring.
For a touch of magic to her bridal look, the bride carried a limited edition Judith Leiber x Disney Cinderella Pumpkin clutch.
Last but not least the bridal shoes were white and minimalistic by Le Silla.
