Inside Billionaire's Destination Wedding at The Pyramids
Tech billionaire Ankur Jain took the internet by storm when he shared his luxury wedding photos after he married former World Wrestling Entertainment star Erika Hammond in Egypt.
Jain, the 34-year-old CEO of Bilt Rewards, recently opened up about his wedding preparations at the exotic location and revealed that he had wanted to tie the knot in space. "My first pitch to Erika for the wedding was to get married in space," Jain told People magazine.
"I was like, ‘I don’t want to die on my wedding day!'" Hammond said.
The festivities in Egypt included an unforgettable night at the museum with a welcome party in Prince Mohammed Ali’s Palace and the luxurious ceremony in front of the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx.
Ankur Jain shared a series of photos from his wedding festivities. The festivities included a safari dinner in the heart of a South African jungle and an adventurous three-day jungle safari experience. This alone cost the couple $2,000 per night.
Ankur Jain and Erika Hammond’s wedding guest list included Robin Thicke and his wife April Love Geary, Lance Bass and his husband Michael Turchin, Ryan Serhant and his wife Emilia, former Texas governor Rick Perry and his wife Anita, Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary and his wife Linda, the Points Guy Brian Kelly, influencer Serena Kerrigan, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and his wife Gloria, Fox Business anchor Liz Claman, Fox 5 New York anchor Bianca Peters and Equinox chairman Harvey Spevak.
The big event was held at a specially constructed event site in front of the Sphinx at the base of the Great Pyramids of Giza. Ankur had decided for the events of his destination wedding to conclude in Egypt with archaeologist, Dr. Zahi Hawass, officiating the ceremony.
Erika looked radiant in Rahul Mishra’s gold-accented sheer gown embellished with golden flowers on the bodice and a grand peacock-like train.
Fireworks lit the sky as the celebration continued. "We had the best time. It was so special. When the fireworks went off, it was one of the most spectacular moments," says the groom. "I was so emotional, I couldn't even put it into words.”
Guests were pampered with elite wedding gifts including a hieroglyphics pajama set and Nike Air Forces branded with the couple’s initials. The wedding after-party kicked off with performances by American singer Robin Thicke, DJ Gryffin, and a serenading musical show by violinist Lindsey Stirling.
