On a recent trip to Barcelona organised by Barcelona Weddings, a program of Barcelona Turisme created to promote Barcelona as a wedding destination, we got the chance to visit and stay at the beautiful W Barcelona. Designed by world-renowned architect Ricardo Bofill, W Barcelona sets the scene for a spectacular wedding overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel offers a combination of luxury and comfort in each of its 473 fabulous guestrooms and suites.
This 5-star beautiful hotel is located on the beachfront along the famous Barceloneta Boardwalk. Each guestroom and suite provides panoramic breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea and the charming city of Barcelona. Its venues are perfect for beach parties, pre wedding events, the wedding reception and after party celebrations and events of any size.

Kindly describe the Wedding Venues that you have at W Barcelona that would be great for a Destination Wedding at your property.
W Barcelona has different wedding venues such as the Great Room, an indoor space filled with natural light and panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. This venue also has a spectacular private terrace ideal to celebrate open air weddings specially during the summer season.
Another fantastic location is the Sundeck, this terrace with an infinity pool is the ideal spot to celebrate either a wedding or a pre-wedding party.
Finally, EWOW Cabana is the perfect venue for pre wedding cocktails.
What differentiates W Barcelona from other Wedding Venues in the city?
Because of its unique location, W Barcelona's venues and rooms offer amazing views of the city of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea.
But our property does not only offer views, to have an unforgettable wedding, the hotel also has high gastronomy options in addition to spa and wellness services so the wedding guests and the bride and groom can relax and get ready before the big day.
What are the main elements included in a typical Wedding Package at your hotel?
Our wedding packages normally include a 6 and a half hour service split roughly as such: Welcome reception for an hour and a half, wedding banquet of 3 hours and bar package for 2 hours.
For the wedding reception we offer 5 cold starters, 5 hot strters, 2 buffet stations, wedding menu: starter, main course, sorbet and dessert or wedding cake, in addition to beverages during the banquet, coffee, teas and mignardises (small bite-sized confectionery or savoury appetizers).
What additional services do you provide the bride & groom when they book their wedding at W Barcelona?
As we already explained, W Barcelona has a wellness spot called Getaway that together with the wide treatment menu of our Bliss spa is ideal to get ready and relax before the big day.
Do you offer outside catering for weddings held at other locations around Barcelona?
We do not offer caterings for outside weddings neither we accept external caterings for a wedding held at the hotel in order to make sure the gastronomy meets all the requirements.
We also have curated catering options to fit in any kind of event celebrated at the hotel.
