We had the chance to ask Hend Al Mutawa a few questions about the latest Abaya trends and tips, and here is what she had to say:
- How would you describe your style of fashion and your designs?
I would describe it as modern yet conservative and well-articulated with the trending fashion worldwide.
- How can a woman choose the perfect abaya for her?
First, a lady should identify what kind of style she is looking for. Next is to identify for what occasion she needs it which could be for a special event or meeting, to attend a wedding, or simply for a casual day at work. Finally, to select the Abaya based on the season’s colours and trending style. One last note, she should always ensure the right accessories and shoes are chosen to complete her perfect look.
- Do you prefer modern Abayas, classic Abayas or a blend of both?
I always prefer to blend both modern and classic Abaya styles as the outcome furnishes an inspiring piece that calms the fashion fanatics who always seek the top designs and do not settle for less.
- How do bridal abayas differ from other abayas in style or fabrics?
Bridal abayas are unique as they usually tend to be transparent, graceful, flowy, shimmery, and include a lot of delicate handmade embroidery. The most common fabrics that we use are the sheer organza, silky chiffon, and soft net amongst other draperies procured especially for our exclusive bridal collections.
- Can a bride collaborate with you to design her customized abaya?
Of course, we design customized abayas for our customers exclusively for their wedding occasions that seemingly complement their dresses and taste in fashion.
