It was the first Indian destination wedding that took place at 2 of the most high-end hotel properties in Cassias, Portugal.
The celebration had 4 different events each with a different theme, character, and vibe.
There was a beautiful blend of India and Portugal curated for every event and BAQAA, a Dubai-based wedding designer and planner, left footprints in Portugal with this intimate, magical wedding for Rhea and Raj.

Welcome Pool Party
The celebration kicked off with a hospitality welcome - a youngsters' pool party with Mehndi was a unique blend of ethnic elements and flowers of Portugal.
BAQAA designed a young emoji theme which was used to create a unique, young concept for all print collaterals for the wedding. It was a fresh and vibrant theme with all poolside umbrellas draped in colorful fabrics, white lounge furniture, bright flowers in reds, yellow and purple in Portuguese blue pottery vases especially designed by Rachna Chadha of BAQAA.
The pool party and Mehndi were filled with entertaining games like Jenga, beer pong, great music, fun times, amazing cocktails, and pub food.
Sangeet Celebration
Rhea and Raj's destination wedding sangeet took place at Pestana Citadela, an art hotel in Cascais. An underground dungeon was turned around aesthetically into a super energetic sangeet, from the Bollywood drama, of a grand entry, warm, deep-colored decor with ornate candelabras and tall candles, fairy lights, LOVE in neon lights as the backdrop to the stage.
Wedding Ceremony
Breaking the traditional mold of weddings, BAQAA created a beautiful wedding ceremony in the midst of a forest and a green golf course at the Oitavos, Cascais.
The baraat was thorough the golf course and the bride entered with her brother. The aesthetic inclusion of colors with Indian fabrics, traditional mandap seating, traditional ceremony, traditional garlands, an Indian priest from London, and beautiful flowers from Portugal on a cold, crisp sunny day was the perfect setting to shower blessings on the couple.
Elegant Wedding Reception
The reception was a beautiful, interactive, and fun finale for this wedding in the clubhouse of Oitavos, Cascais overlooking the forest and the golf course. The decor was elegant, warm with handpicked flowers of Portugal.
The evening unfolded with the couple's entry to a romantic serenade, a cheesy fun film on the couple by their friends, toasts, speeches, and crazy games which had the guests dancing on the tables, and climbing the pillars with the excitement of the games.
Each table was named after a song for these youthful games. The itinerary of the evening was printed like a menu with fun emojis. The family tables were bordered with beautiful flowers and candles. The decor was in pastels and cream with the most exotic flowers of Portugal and hundreds of candles.
