Confessions of Real Bride: Soha Naji
Soha Naji and Shawki Sultan met at work while living in Kuwait, they soon became good friends, but unfortunately Shawki had to leave Kuwait and move to Abu Dhabi for a new job.
This is when he realised that he is in love with Soha, and decided to leave Abu Dhabi and go back to Soha in Kuwait, they then decided to make it official and got married on 27 August 2016 at L'Heritage Beirut, Lebanon.
Soha shared her wedding planning experience and her wedding tips with other brides-to-be, and here is what she had to say:
- What is the biggest advice you can give any bride-to-be?
It takes a lot of time to plan all the wedding details, I advise every bride and groom to stay calm and have a sense of humor while planning their wedding. Planning a wedding can be difficult but it is also a fun process to go through.
- What was the theme or color scheme you picked for your wedding?
We chose Spring-inspired colors, such as light pink and mauve, mainly pastel colors.
I advise every bride and groom to stay calm and have a sense of humor while planning their wedding
- Do you recommend specific suppliers you worked with?
Wedding Planner: Layal Nemeh
Wedding Photographer: Photo Rami
Bridal Hair and Makeup: Salon Yesoug
Wedding Dress: Tarik Ediz
- What was the most difficult and stressful part of wedding planning?
Planning a wedding in Lebanon while living in Kuwait was not an easy task, I chose all the wedding details from the flowers to my bouquet on Video Call with the wedding planner Layal.
- Did you face any surprises?
Yes, with everything going on and travelling from Kuwait to Beirut, we forgot to practice for our first dance! Luckily our planner Layal helped us with some steps 5 minutes before the wedding in our suite. We ended up laughing the entire dance especially that I was so scared to be carried by my groom.
- Did Arabia Weddings help you in your wedding planning?
Yes, I wanted a modern wedding theme and got lots of inspiration from Arabia Weddings and other brides' wedding on the website.
