New York Milliner Launches Her Debut Bridal Collection
New York City based milliner Eugenia Kim announces the launch of her first Bridal Collection for Spring 2019. Inspired by Kim's vision of a modern, non-traditional bride, the range of 2019 bridal hair accessories is designed to dress a bride to be for a variety of wedding milestone moments; from her bridal shower to her wedding reception to her honeymoon and beyond.
The collection includes some of Kim’s iconic designs revamped with a diamond white, ivory, or blush feminine touch, as well as new whimsical styles being introduced for the first time. Comprised of sixteen pieces, the line features unexpected takes on classic veils, fashion-forward white leather berets and massive bows with floor length trains. Kim utilizes silk and tulle fabrics, while also incorporating straw and felt designs.
“As I’m getting married soon, I was doing my own research on bridal wear and I wasn’t finding pieces that suited my personality. Around the same time, I was asked by a close friend to design custom pieces for both her and her entire wedding party, so I knew there were other brides-to-be out there who weren’t finding what they needed from traditional bridal accessories designers. So I decided to just fill that place in the market myself!”
