New Jacy Kay Bridal Collection Reflects “The Love of Vienna”

“The Love of Vienna”, a new collection of 7 stunning wedding dresses by Dubai-based Jacy Kay, was revealed at BRIDE Dubai on 8 February 2018. The collection reflects the beauty and majesty of the eponymous Austrian city and draws international attention for its impressive photo shoot inside some of Vienna’s most romantic palaces.

It is said of Vienna that its streets are not paved with stones but with history. Indeed, a great part of the city’s charm lies in its winding alleyways, arcaded courtyards, lavish parks and beautiful city palaces. They make Vienna a celebration of reverie – especially for the romantic at heart. Captivated by the beauty of Vienna, Dubai’s coveted high-end bridal label Jacy Kay Design Couture designed a collection inspired by the grandiosity of the creative arts and baroque details in Vienna’s almost 200 luxurious palaces and city palais.

Naturally, the bridal collection was named “The Love of Vienna”, as it reflects grand crystal chandeliers, detailed cherubim faces and romantic floral elements, which can be found ubiquitously in Vienna. And while Vienna was built in 2000 years, 45 specialists meticulously handcrafted the collection’s master dress in 1000 working hours.

“Vienna is such an inspirational city for art and fashion - it captivates your soul and heart. For me, Vienna is a dream come true. When I first visited Vienna back in May 2017, I honestly envisioned our dresses to be there,” explains Mrs. Khulood Al Kendi, Managing Director of Jacy Kay.

Vienna – Europe’s most romantic capital

The sophisticated photo shoot brought the teams of Jacy Kay and Dorota Janina Photography inside some of Vienna’s most romantic palaces. Iconic stairways, impressive marble halls and Imperial state rooms are the perfect backdrop for the extravagant collection – and places of pilgrim for the countless lovers and honeymooners, who visit the city in all seasons.

“A ride on a horse-drawn carriage, a visit to one of Vienna’s cozy traditional coffeehouses or a shopping stroll through Vienna’s UNESCO heritage listed old city center – whatever romantic activity you choose with your loved one in Vienna, it will for sure touch your heart,” affirms Mrs. Verena Hable, Media Relations Manager at the Vienna Tourist Board.

Mrs. Al Kendi adds, “The photo shoot was my second visit to Vienna. Now I even more admire this beautiful city and I believe there’s much more to explore. I Iove history and nature, Vienna combines these two in a dreamy way.”

About the “The Love of Vienna” collection

In Vienna, a grand past and a very elegant present go hand in hand, which perfectly resembles the ‘The Love of Vienna’ collection - a mixture of modern silhouettes and classic elements for a fairytale bride of the 21st century. The 7 unbelievably detailed dresses bear names linked to the city’s architecture and culture: Belvedere, Chandelier, Ballerina, Mosaic, Cinderella, Edelweiss and Cherubim.
