A Magical Wedding of Gurickk and Simran Kaur Mundi
FB Celebrations had the honour of orchestrating to perfection the wedding of Gurickk, son of Indian Singer Gurdas Maan with Simran Mundi, former Miss India Universe. The maverick events management team put together a surreal experience for the couple, which was celebrated over 4 days in Patiala, Punjab in January 2020.
True to the couple's personality, the wedding was warm and intimate; with attentiveness to every single guest in attendance. The emotional significance of the venue reflected in all aspects of the wedding, from colonial decor to the enhancement of the gurudhwara (a place of assembly and worship for Sikhs) where the groom's parents were married several years ago.
From hospitality management, décor, design to logistics amongst other plans, the celebrations kick-started with an intimate Mehendi and Welcome Dinner that spoke of all things pastel. The subtlety of falling drapes and breathtaking florals presented a perfect backdrop for a picture-perfect moment for the bride. An ethereal Sufi dinner on the following night transported guests to an otherworldly experience. The guest list comprising of various famous personalities including singers and actors enjoyed Harshdeep Kaur’s soulful voice wafting amidst a sea of candles and brass vessels and the lingering fragrance of mogras and rajnigandhas added beauty to the mystical feel of the night.
Adventure, a big part of the groom's life, gave way to a fun time. The next morning the guests have driven up the Satluj river bed in buggies and enjoyed lunch on rustic benches. The rituals comprising of haldi and jaggo were held shortly after, dominated by festive hues of sunflower yellow laden with florals and kaliras. The pre-wedding party transported guests to their favourite club but with a colonial twist. Black and white film projection acted as the backdrop for several intimate moments as the legend, Mr. Gurdas Maan and the best in the show business- Badshah, Mika Singh, Kapil Sharma & Guru Randhawa jammed together which brought the couple and guests to their feet, showing off their best moves. Fire throwers and DJ NYK's tunes added pizzazz to the evening that was attended by several celebrities including Vicky Kaushal, Amy Virk and Honey Singh.
The wedding ceremony took place in the gurudhwara which was adorned in exquisite pink and ivory exotic flowers and drapes. The beautiful union was trendsetting in more ways than one, owing to the colour blocking of the bride and groom's outfits and the blue fiat bestowing a vintage vibe for their first journey after the wedding.
The sit-down lunch that followed the ceremony was an extension of the couple's love for all things colonial. Pampas grass with pops of rust as florals and linen along with raw jute was used as table settings as guests were served lunch in silver thaalis. The dessert selection included delicacies from across the world greatly added to the experience where all guests were greeted personally by the bride and groom.
The celebration was a true reflection of the beauty that resides in the most loved family of Punjab. The couple's brief of personally taking care of all the guest was executed by the team with utmost dedication.
