A Look Inside Princess Iman's Henna Night
Princess Iman of Jordan's wedding celebrations is kicking off with a henna party!
Her Majesty Queen Rania shared the first look at her bridal outfit, saying "Finishing touches before Iman’s Henna party tonight," the Jordan monarch wrote on Instagram, referring to the celebration where the bride gets henna applied to her hands and feet.
The party is to take place ahead of her nuptials with Jameel Thermiotis on 12 March. Pink Moon Events in Jordan were the masterminds behind Princess Iman’s pre-wedding Henna party which took place in Jordan earlier this week.
"It’s an immense honor to have designed & planned the Henna party for her Royal Highness Princess Iman," Pink Moon events writes within the caption. "We are proud to have engaged a group of skilled Jordanians to contribute to this project. Mabrook our beautiful Princess."
The video highlights the skill and craftsmanship of local artisans, who prepared traditional decorations, table settings and tapestries for the event. The henna party took place at Al Husseiniya Palace.
Jordanian Designer Reema Dahbour was among the first to comment on the post, gushing she was so proud to have put together the look. "It’s a moment of pride where, as a Jordanian fashion designer, I am deeply honored to see our piece on Princess Iman on such a special day congratulations to our royal family!"
The gown was accessorized with the same white and gold belt Queen Rania wore for her own wedding to Jordan's King Abdullah II in 1993. For the ceremony, she wore a short-sleeve, gold and white gown, made by British fashion designer Bruce Oldfield.
