Jenny Packham 2018 Spring Bridal Collection
The latest collection of wedding dresses by Jenny Packham was inspired by "Falling", Colin Thubron’s book about trapeze artist Clara the Swallow.
The 35-piece bridal collection also took cues from Packham’s own fashion icons including Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, and others.
“Our brides have always been a little bit alternative,” Packham said, adding that separates, were included for “girls who want to create their own outfits.”
The collection featured feminine and elegant designs and bold modern colors.
As always, Jenny Packham presented a luxurious collection with simple and soft designs, along with distinctive fabrics such as chiffon, tulle, lace, and some sparkling fabrics with crystal or sequins.
We also saw 3 crimson wedding dresses with fanciful details such as feathers, sequins, and satin trim. “It’s this idea of being a bit daring in bridal and taking a few risks,” Jenny Packham explained.
Corseted bodices had a fashion-forward edge with metallic stitching, embellishments mimicked tattoos on a few long-sleeved gowns, and soft fringe lent an Haute-saloon spin to a deco dress.
