Hannah and Eisa’s ‘Summer Love’ Wedding in Greece
Hannah and Eisa had a beautiful destination wedding in Athens on 14 June 2019 that was designed and planned by Dubai-based destination wedding planning company The Wedding Haven.
Romantic meets simple describes this ‘Summer Love’ wedding in Greece; the British Emirati bride wanted to emphasize the use of one central color: her beloved pink, along with the luscious garden and the white, canvas-like decor helped achieve the overall feel of the wedding.
"We wanted a laid back location, but one that could offer a backdrop in sync with our theme. And found it, we did! A breathtaking seaside and mountains, plenty of rich greenery surrounding, and a string of festoon lights above, it truly allowed a space for our couple to make the best of an unforgettable day," said May A.J. Halasa, Founder and Lead Planner of The Wedding Haven.
The tables were adorned with pure white overlays and napkins which when set with the simple silverware and gold chameleon chairs offered a classic effect. For a splash of color, O’Hara roses, peonies, hydrangeas and baby roses were arranged in pristine glass vases, which when placed on round mirrors, created a more opulent look for the tablescape. The flower stems were kept a bit long for a refreshing pop of green and were grouped with several long stem candles.
Personalised glass bottle wedding favors, laced by a soft pink ribbon were given away to the wedding guests who flew in from the UAE and the UK to attend the wedding. A basket of bright pink silk shawls was made available for guests to grab as the evening progressed and the weather felt cooler.
"Our lovely bride wanted a dress that was glamorous yet easy going, so she opted for a sheath silhouette and an illusion neckline whose lace extended down to her waist. And the cherry on top was her cathedral length organza veil," described May A.J. Halasa.
The wedding bouquet looked outstanding! It was made of pink peonies, O’Hara roses and eucalyptus for a special, mediterranean look.
Hannah decided to match a pair of pretty sandals with her bouquet, while her bridesmaids wore flowy blush pink hued dresses, enhancing the romantic look and feel of the day. The groom opted for a black tuxedo with a touch of cream white in his buttonhole and a dash of charisma with his signature LV belt.
