Here is what Joumana Al Hayek had to say:
- How do you best describe your designs?
From the start of Dar Sara, the Lebanese founder Joumana Al Hayek, worked on building a strong team that till now has contributed to the company’s success. Since the launch and throughout the years of this success the team had taken Dar Sara to a higher level.
As a high-end dressmaker, Dar Sara’s creation is a reflection of the creativity and dedication invested in each garment, gown and dress. Dar Sara is careful to use only the most exclusive materials from France and Italy to produce gowns that provide the crowning glory of any wardrobe.

- What inspired your latest bridal collection?
The key silhouettes in this collection are modern day interpretations of the traditional Indian Sari, SalwarKameez, LehenghaCholi, along with an eclectic mix of cocktail and evening wear.
Dar Sara has created the timeless luxury collection with pure silks, chiffon, jacquards and illusion tulle. Garments, though traditional have an edgy twist. They are embellished with Kashmiri and RajasthaniZardozi, embroidery of intricate wire detailing. The embroidery is intertwined with delicate lace and guipure and adorned with Swarovski crystal elements.
- Can a bride collaborate with you to design her own wedding dress or maybe even her engagement dress?
Yes definitely she can.

- Are there any bridal trends that you personally like?
Nothing specific. I like all trends and like to take them all as mood boards for ideas and inspirations.
- What advice can you give the bride-to-be when choosing a wedding dress?
Choose what suits you and not what just fashion in the market is.
