A Closer Look at The Makeup Looks from Jordan's Royal Wedding

The wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein was not only the most important wedding of the year but it was also a great display of elegance and beauty.

Some of the most prominent Arab names in makeup artistry came from all around the world for the exciting event.

The world was taken by glamourous gowns, dazzling jewelry, and timeless makeup looks.

Princess Rajwa

Princess Rajwa Al Hussein's Makeup Look

The beautiful bride Princess Rajwa Al Hussein wore a stunning Elie Saab wedding gown and completed her look with elevated natural makeup look.

International makeup artist Robert Sesnak did Princess Rajwa's makeup for her engagement photo shoot, was recommended by Queen Rania herself, and was chosen to do Princess Rajwa's makeup on her wedding day.

Her makeup look had a matte foundation base with a soft and natural contour, as for the eyeshadow look, a palette of browns was used to create an eye-enhancing contour, blended up to the crease. A slight flick of classic black kohl added a definition to her brown eyes. The bride’s naturally full brows were shaped with a soft arch.

The Princess' makeup look was finished with a pink nude lip shade.

Robert Sesnak shared some details from Princess Rajwa's makeup look with Grazia magazine:

"Rajwa did want to do something in between. I called it naturally dramatic. We decided to focus on the eyes and keep everything else soft and natural."

"We needed the eyes to pop and stand out a little bit more but kept everything clean and classic because of the very long day ahead. We had the wedding ceremony, then the motorcade through Amman, and finally the palace celebration. The makeup had to last throughout all the events with minimal touch-ups."

"Rajwa isn’t a huge fan of a strong lip on herself, so we decided to focus on softly defined eyes and clean and pretty everything else. I used a neutral brown pencil to define the lash line and softly diffused the pencil with a deep neutral rose-toned eyeshadow, blending into the crease. I used a light shell-colored eyeshadow towards the inner corners of her eyes to open them up and finished with a deep brown/black pencil into the lash line for added depth. I used multiple coats of waterproof mascara on both the upper and lower lashes."

"After the eyes, I used a few shades of foundation for the perfect match and then proceeded to use a cream contour to define her features. Afterward, I layered concealer to highlight and conceal. I then applied cream blush and a layer of powder blush to set, and some cream highlighter for added luminosity. I finished the look by defining her lip line with a pinky nude shade lip liner over the entire lip, and then used a neutral pink beige lipstick before finishing it off with a nude lipgloss."

Queen Rania

Queen Rania's Makeup Look

As always, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan chose a chic beauty look for her son's wedding.

The royal’s natural beauty was paired with an illuminating foundation, and a peachy blush blended up to her cheekbones.

HRH Queen Rania added a touch of pink-brown lipstick keeping her lips looking very natural.

To emphasize the beauty of her eyes, the Queen had her eye makeup in a soft blended smoky eye.
