A Charming Iranian Wedding in Dubai
One of the most opulent celebrations of this season was held at Raffles Palm Dubai with exquisite settings and experiences curated by the team of Vivaah Celebrations! The wedding was held in October 2022, and the wedding guests were swept into a unique world of beauty.
The celebrations started with the Sofreh Aghd, a traditional wedding ceremony that has been passed on by generations in the Persian culture. In Farsi, the word "sofreh" means 'spread' and "aghd" means 'ceremony'.
Several symbolic items make up the Sofreh Aghd spread such as a mirror, honey, spices, sugar canes, and more.
