King Abdullah The Second and Queen Rania's Wedding
HM King Abdullah II of Jordan and Queen Rania got married on 10 June 1993, after meeting at a private dinner party in January of the same year. At the time, King Abdullah was a Prince; he is the eldest son of the late King Hussein of Jordan.
Queen Rania was born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents. She received her bachelor's degree in business at The American University in Cairo (AUC). In 1991, following the Gulf War, she and her family fled to Amman, Jordan, where she met the then Prince Abdullah of Jordan.
The Royal couple have 4 children: Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma, and Prince Hashem.

Queen Rania wore a gold-trimmed, short-sleeve gown designed by British fashion designer Bruce Oldfield, the wedding dress was distinctive because it had a jacket that covered the top of the gown and a big belt to keep it in place. Mr. Oldfield was inspired to create the royal wedding dress by formal Syrian costumes on exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
The dress's train was long and the skirt had several folds. Together with her attire, the Queen donned white gloves. Instead of a tiara, she wore a headband with her hair in a big bun updo.
The second dress, which was also created by Mr. Oldfield, had a V-neck and no sleeves. Its style and embroidery complemented the dress she had worn for the wedding ceremony earlier in the day.
King Abdullah wore his formal military dress uniform adorned with numerous medals and a ceremonial sword.
