International fashion designer of Lebanese origins, Elie Saab, presented his summer and spring 2024 wedding dresses at his first-ever catwalk at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2023.
Elie Saab showcased his stunningly whimsical SS24 bridal collection titled "A Sense of Wonder" and it is breathtaking!
This 2024 wedding dress collection by Elie Saab is an imagined universe of indulgent grace and iridescent serenity suspended somewhere between the heavens and earth. Much like the flowering realms of Katsushika Hokusai, the collection endeavors to capture a contemporary and fleeting moment with a sense of wonder.
Inspired by the blossoming kingdoms of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, the designs that graced the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week runway transported the audience to an imagined universe of grace and serenity, somewhere between heaven and earth.
Such otherworldly textures and ethereal fabrics become pristine silhouettes that invoke reverence. Sleek mikado folds into an origami bolero worn over a tightly draped and contour-hugging gown. Like the white crest of the great wave, soft and supple silk fansinto large pleats that ripple across strapless necklines. A floral embroidered veil envelopes a boat-neck mermaid gown with an open back, bringing blooming adornment and organic movement to the pure surface below. Organza foliage vines across a delicate neckline of a short gown with a tutu skirt and billowing trail. Complementary veils and contour-defining ribbon belts bring final strokes of composure and poise.
The Elie Saab bridal collection showcased elegant bridal gowns, crafted with exquisite fabrics and elaborate floral details. In contrast, the 8 embroidered dresses created specifically for Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2023 are all about tighter silhouettes, with intricate and iridescent embellishments of sequins, pearls, and feathers, enhancing the graceful, whimsical and soft femininity that is the essence of Elie Saab.
