An Amazing 5 Day Indian Wedding in Dubai
In all the beautiful ways that the universe works, Kam and João’s were destined to cross paths unknowing that their pathways to a beautiful journey of forever has already begun long before they knew each other! João lived in Portugal while Kam was staying in London and they were miles away from each other but, somehow, they found their way to each other.
Kam, born and brought up in a residence of a Sikh Indian family moved to Dubai to follow her career only to have Joãoa also receive an opportunity in Dubai and chase down the same path.
On an evening in 2018, in a conscious effort of trying to meet someone, Kam came across João’s profile on Inner Circle. The conversation got rolling and they met after a lot of exchange of emails. João could be seen on cloud 9 but Kam’s heart felt a miss of beat. Rescued by a friend who suggested Kam give it another chance led to the second date Kam wasn’t too convinced of. The universe worked its way in this one and the pieces joined. And that’s it, there was no looking back. Head over heels in love, the two found a common language of love, they both knew this was it.
Decided to tie the knot at the age of 40, breaking barriers of stereotypes that try convincing generations to be married at a certain age. Bold and beautiful, the two only decided to tie the knot when it felt right. Age is just a number; Kam and Joao tell us through their journey.

Pre-Wedding Celebrations
The wedding was a glorious intimate celebration that spanned over 5 days. From a fun-filled Haldi at their home (a ceremony where everyone applies turmeric on the bride and groom to get a wedding glow) to a chilled vibe sundown henna party for her girls at the One&Only The Royal Mirage.
From a crazy Sangeet night at the yacht with the Dubai Skyline as a happy spectator to a serene Anand Karaj at the One&Only The Royal Mirage, to the celebratory party at the Moet Lounge of the One&Only, The wedding would be remembered for generations to come.
The planners and designers from Delhi did the entire décor at the Haldi and the Mehendi on their own. The team of 2 managed the sourcing of flowers, making of flowers, and putting it all across. Similarly, they had one photographer and one cinematographer to cover the entire wedding and the pictures are proof of the beautiful memories they have captured.
The Wedding
The wedding was a beautiful amalgamation of cultures, traditions, ceremonies, celebrations, and most authentically a lot of love.
The entire entourage for the wedding flew in from different parts of the world to plan this wedding – Indian Wedding Planners & Designers from Delhi, Portuguese Wedding Planners from Portugal, and the photographer and videographer from Portugal too. The wedding saw a very personalized planning process.
