Chic Lebanese Destination Wedding at Lake Como
Back in June 2019, Andrea and Chant, a lovely Lebanese couple, tied the knot in a charming destination wedding at Lake Como in Italy. The wedding was attended by around 100 Lebanese and Armenian friends and family members who traveled from Lebanon, the rest of the Middle East, and Europe to join the two-day celebration.
A pre-wedding Italian fiesta kicked off this destination wedding in the small, beautiful neighborhood of Cernobbio on the shores of Lake Como. A mix of Armenian and Lebanese music enchanted the guests. Andrea looked amazing in her gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana dress, complimented by a matching headpiece designed by B Bloomed of Lebanon.
"I love how we used the Sorrento pastel ceramic watercolors and incorporated them into almost every element of the decoration", said Micheline Diab, founder of Giritaly who designed and planned the wedding. From the menu design to the color selection of the glass bottles, the colors of the candles, cocktail napkins, the olive branches, flowers... down to the scent of Italian lemons, the evening was infused by Italian scents and flavors. "It was truly everything the bride was dreaming of," added Micheline Diab.
A beautiful, picturesque ceremony was held by the majestic water fountain of Lake Como; the tunes of the Armenian soprano, the Arabic hymns, and the Italian classical music made this moment unforgettable.
Top Wedding Villas at Lake Como
Following the ceremony, wedding guests moved to the colorful gardens of Villa Geno on the beats of a traditional Armenian Italian band, enjoying a glass of the exquisite Prosecco Bellini while savouring some Italian delicacies of the Lombardia cuisine.
"One of my favorite parts of planning the wedding was creating a mood board to help pull together all the table details the bride wanted to include," said Micheline Diab. As the bride loved white, crystal, and sparkles, the wedding decor reflected that. "The delphinium flower was the signature of this wedding—grand, elegant, chic, and different—portraying the character of our beautiful couple," added Micheline.
